Our story

How it started

Vanessa and Breanna grew up just down the road from each other, with their parents' farms barely a mile apart. Though they both were raised on farms, they each cared for very different livestock, shaping their unique perspectives on agriculture. As they got older, their friendship deepened through collaboration and adventures around the world. Their shared love for farm-fresh, regional specialties inspired them to start this project. While they both hold regular jobs, countless late nights and weekends have been dedicated to turning their vision into reality. Today, they are building a joint homestead to bring fresh, healthy options to their community through farmers' markets and pop-up events, sharing their passion for quality food and local goodness.

Foodie at heart

"One reason I started this journey was because of food allergies. I grew up eating a lot of fresh foods as the cooks in my family are French and we did not have a lot of processed foods. Fast forward to my adult years when eating just was unjoyful. I had stomach pain after eating and I had a hard time enjoying most meals. I finally did a food intolerance test, and the results were shocking. One of the largest triggers for my system was chicken! I started paying closer attention to labels and I vowed to change my habits and cut out as much processed and overly preserved foods as I could! It is not easy eating healthy, but the physical changes make the struggles worthwhile!" - Vanessa

The Farm

"I grew up surrounded by the warmth of home cooked meals and cherished family recipes, which sparked my lifelong passion for baking. Whether it was whipping up treats for family gatherings or sharing my creations at community events, I’ve always found joy in bringing people together through food.  Now, I’m excited to share not only my family’s timeless favorites but also new and inventive recipes for everyone to enjoy!" - Breanna

Family

Vanessa's niece came into the world a lot earlier than we expected and because of that her parents were extra cautious about her food introductions. She made it a personal mission to make as much baby food for her using only homegrown produce with very little salt and only herbs for flavor. It was a major success! As time goes on, we hope to create some posts about the combinations we created that she especially enjoyed and held up well in the freezer.

Crystals and Vintage Decor

Growing up, flea markets and antique shops were a cherished part of life for both Vanessa and Breanna. Every summer, they especially spent countless hours traveling to different towns, wandering through markets and antique shows with their family, always on the hunt for unique finds. Their homes are now filled with antiques, family heirlooms, and treasures collected during their travels and shopping adventures. Vanessa is currently restoring her great-grandpa’s 1955 Willy’s Truck, which they plan to feature as part of their market setups. Throughout the year, they’ll also be offering a curated selection of crystals and home décor at local markets.
